This current exhibition site is for Tampopo A’s spring greetings to their
friends abroad who love four seasons beauties, especially spring flowers in Japan. Spring reminds them of the best memories in their travel in Japan. Tampopo A may make addition to the seasonal photos of 2025 during the exhibition period.

Visiting the archeological sites and Inca ruins in Peru by Hisayo

This exhibition site features stones in archeological sites and ruins in and around Cusco from Hisayo’s travel diary during her Peru tour in February 2018. Visiting Machu Picchu was one of her long-time dreams from a child. Not only Machu Picchu but also the other Inca ruins such as Ollantaytambo (the ancient city fortress), the Pisac ruins, Maras Salt mines, and the Moray ruins were so beautiful and mysterious that she was deeply impressed.

Hitomi’s Shikoku Pilgrimage Journey: Tokushima Part

This exhibition features a Tokushima part of Shikoku Pilgrimage journey by Hitomi. She started to walk from the first temple, Ryouzenji (霊山寺), Naruto city, Tokushima. The seven days’ journey to the twenty-third temple, Yakuouji(薬王寺) in Spring of 2021 is an unforgettable memory for her, because she was so impressed by Tokushima region richly endowed with nature as well as native Tokushiman’s warm-heartedness. She felt and realized “Kobo Daishi (Kukai) walks with you” in this journey.

Saipan, Embracing the Past by TAKAHASHI Kaoru

2021.12.29-2023.10.31 * Room #5 *This web exhibition was for a limited period of time to April 30, 2022 but in April 25, we decided to extend the exhibition until 2023.10.31 to hope for the peaceful world.

Ms. TAKAHASHI Kaoru is a tourist guide in Saipan and specializes in commemorative tours for the bereaved families of Japanese soldiers. Saipan Island is currently known as a tropical resort;however, it has a different view before 1945, because this island once governed by Imperial Japan was a battle area during the second world war. Ms. Takahashi tells us, “Please do not forget Saipan’s tragic history.” With visiting scenic sights, she delivers a message on war and peace through this exhibition.

Cerebrating 50 years old! – A Reunion in Kyoto by "TNG1989"

This exhibition site features the memories of a reunion trip in Kyoto by "TNG1989." "TNG1989" is a group of six members who graduated the same high school in 1989. Their memorial reunion pictures with Kyoto’s scenic beauties in Mt.Kurama, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkaku-ji Koetsu-ji Temple, and so on are full of joy.

Takopedia Nippon by KANI Hiroaki

KANI Hiroaki, a Japanese historian, has been fascinated by octopus. The essays in “Takopedia Nippon” are his original works on octopus and discusses Japanese society, culture, and history with octopuses. The “Takopedia (Tako = octopus in Japanese + [encycro] pedia) Nippon” is his word. The essays, first published by Keio Zasshi from 2010 to 2017, are the revised edition of 2021 currently exclusive for this website.
