Welcome – Gallery TACO TUBO(Takotsubo)

Welcome

“Takotsubo” is

A web exhibition gallery on the Internet space.

The name of this gallery comes from the fishing traps that are used to catch octopuses (Tako in Japanese).
In addition, Tako’s homonym in Japanese has a meaning of good luck and happiness… Since takotsubo is a tako trap, the gallery offers eight exhibition rooms matching the eight arms of an octopus.

There are 8 exhibition rooms, numbered rooms 1 to 8.
Two of these rooms are dedicated to the Gallery Takotsubo. The first one, room 8 has a Japanese kanji 八 (8) which expresses a continuation of good luck. In that room you can explore exhibited essays.
The next room is the gallery shop that is allocated to Japanese original artisanal works.

The remaining 6 rooms (1,2,3,5,6,7) are devoted to artists who can freely display their works. Everyone has experienced a memorable path or moment that they encountered during their life journey.
It would be sad to keep these sweet memories for oneself when they could help opening doors to a new world… “The journey of life is never complete without a friend to share the memories”

As the founder of this gallery it would bring me a lot of joy and happiness to allow exhibitors to approach friends and public that the distance or unexpected events keep out of physical reach. First of all, as in a Japanese street theater “kamishibai” (paper play), please enjoy each story board…
